I have set up and been involved in a large number of community activities for young people and training to the community. I have set up and fully equipped a youth center for the young people of Plummeted. I have raised the funds to keep it going for the past 10 years and I have raised the funds to keep the youth workers working and benefit the young people within Greenwich. I have put together a large number of successful projects for the young people and wider community living in Greenwich, who are still benefiting from: • Free computer classes for beginners. • Advice on higher education and work placements. • Advice on the criminal justice system. • Volunteering opportunity with all my partners within Greenwich. • Once a week health clinic. • Three times a week football training and two successful football teams. • A food-bank for the people that need it in the community. • Meet your neighbours program. In recent years I have been involved in reducing crime within Greenwich by going to hotspots and communicating with gang members and advise them on how to exit gangs. I have diverted a large number of young people away from gangs and into employment and higher education. I have helped many members of the community in finding jobs and helping them to put together a CV and writing a cover letter. I have run workshops on gangs for London probation trust. I have worked closely with the Metropolitan police and Greenwich Council to reduce the number of serious group offending and missing young people within gangs. I volunteer as the mentor in local prisons. I worked closely with the Home Office to divert young men away from extremism.
