There must be an intersection between profits and sustainability. Currently looking for employment~ I am currently studying UX/UI Design with Avoacademy. I have a background in Environmental Science from SFSU. My most recent employment was with Pottery Barn, being their lead Shipper/ Receiver. This position came with significant autonomy. I would need to constantly be vigilant in which departments needed support, and quickly pivot. I do well in customer facing positions, but am honestly trying to position to more remote work. Previously, I was lead fulfillment and warehouse manager for a rapidly growing E-commerce children's pajamas company, Free Birdees. During the brunt of Covid, i was their sole fulfillment during the peak of online sales. Eventually the company moved from the bay area to Los Angeles, and I agreed to help with the transition and move for one year. During the year I organized the off-site warehouse, trained up a new fulfillment team, and worked on managing the shopify website. While offered a permanent position, I returned to the Bay Area. I do enjoy varied work, and feel it is one of the best ways to make the most of our limited experience living on this planet. Broadening perspective is vital to growing into a better human. I have work experience in almost every position offered by a 5-Star hotel (Mansion on Sutter), E-commerce (Grinds), tutoring, movie theater customer support, front desk for Asian Health Services, and even managed a Pizza shop in Alameda that has unfortunately closed (years after my departure). Off-hours I enjoy being a founding member of Unreliableycling, a collective pushing each other to be healthy, and have fun doing it. If you're hesitant to start cycling in the bay area reach out, and you'll find a welcoming community. I also enjoy competitive online strategy games (SC2). I've also began in interest in graphic design, but I am still in the fundamentals.
