Code Complete and The Mythical Man-Month are among my favorites. - Am more comfortable with 64 and 1024 being "nice, round numbers" than 10 or 100. - Could likely build at least 2 complete desktop systems from just the parts I have lying around. - Often believe that software is less engineering and more of a creative endeavor.
