Adam Carpinelli is a Multi-instrumentalist with background in music composition, performance, production, community organizing and academic research focusing on social change bridging music, education and trauma work. Training with West African and Cuban Master Drummers and scholars in Africana studies, history, ethnomusicology and archaeology. Research and studies in Ghana, Dominican Republic, India, Jamaica, Suriname. Community and multi-media projects include music, arts integration, alternative media, film and radio programming around issues related to mass Incarceration/prison industrial complex, houseless advocacy, youth advocacy and trauma work with prolific curation of community events, local, regional and national conferences. Performance of percussion, guitar, electric bass and drum set with projects such as Shvvvr, Wamba, Walo Walo and Tropical Storm.
