Aboubacar Diakite Email & Phone Number | I am currently a graduate student at Emerson College school of Communications where I am acquiring my Master of Public Relations with a focus in politics. I presently work for the Suffolk County Sheriff Department as a Correctional Officer. The main function of my job is care, custody and control. Prior to that, I was employed by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as an Investigator. I also have experience working for the Boston Municipal Court Criminal/ Civil Clerk’s Office as a Case Coordinator. These experiences have allowed me to utilize and build on my interpersonal skills, having the ability to interact with a diverse group of people, and being able to communicate efficiently in order to resolve issues. I have developed a very detailed writing skill set and in addition to those skill sets, I have now become more observational and attentive to details. Over the years, I have obtained a great deal of knowledge in the criminal justice system. I am knowledgeable in court proceedings from dealing with criminal complaints to being arraigned, helping litigants obtain a 209A (Restraining Orders) and a 258E ( Harassment Prevention Orders). I have acquired interview skills that allowed me to obtain pertinent information on any given situation. I’m familiar and proficient in the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) software to get a board of probation records and triple iii on individuals with criminal matters. At my current position, I know how sentenced people are processed and cared for while incarcerated. “When we stop fighting for each other, that's when we lose our sense of humanity.” Ultimately helping others is what I intend to do for the rest of my life and in all of my future endeavors. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said "Life's most persistent and urgent question is what are you doing for others." My main goal is to continue to work with people, gain new experiences and hopefully become a diplomat working for an international organization such as the United Nations, by taking the Forign Service Officer test and passing all the necessary requirements and evaluations. I am a very confident, persuasive, attentive, open minded, enthusiastic, dedicated, creative and outgoing leader who is hungry to learn and loves to face new challenges and subsume them into life lessons.
