My greatest team experience is no doubt the more than 20 summers I spent together with a fantastic, crazy, and diverse group of volunteers organizing a camp for young children. The energy, the inspiration, trust, the sharing, the caring – all this became a strong part of my work DNA. At university, I followed my passion for literature and took a degree in the equivalent of a small Ph.D. in French, English, and German literature. I also wrote quite a bit about literature and also wrote a few stories of my own. This was fun, and intellectually stimulating but in the end that kind of work was too lonely for me. A decade ago, I started looking for a different career path. Communications was an obvious choice, and here are a few examples of where I have made a contribution: I played a key role in planning and executing the communication strategy for a large organizational change in two very diverse businesses. I have developed and edited newsletters both in corporate and NGO settings I have educated and supported colleagues, volunteers and C-level management Along the way, as the field became increasingly digital, I discovered a passion for technology. This passion has led me down many strange corridors. I love to understand the how and the why of things, so I started off on a bit off a historical excursion on technology, learning some fascinating stories on the way off mr. George Boole and Mrs. Ada Lovelace. But luckily, I have also been able to use my passion as part of my worklife.
