As a student leader, Abednego has acquired valuable skills, including communication, multitasking, lobbying, and organizational abilities. During his tertiary education, Abednego started as an assistant organizer for the Ghana Institution of Engineering, UMaT Chapter, and eventually became the vice president of the association. In 2023, he assumed the role of president of the same association. As a student leader, Abednego Ehurone has fostered strong relationships with companies such as SMT Ghana, Eddytech Consult, and Fidelity Bank Limited Tarkwa Branch to support the GhIE-UMaT Chapter in their campus activities. Currently, Abednego works as the campus coordinator and the social media manager for Youth in Engineering (YE-GhIE), a wing of the Ghana Institution of Engineering. YE-GhIE encompasses Professional Engineers, Engineering Craftsmen, Engineering Technicians, and Engineering Students aged between 18 and 35 years. In these roles, he is responsible for coordinating all student activities in the various engineering universities in Ghana on behalf of Youth in Engineering (YE). Additionally, he manages the association's social media platforms and serves on the YE Operational Committee. Abednego Ehurone is the owner of Nego's Designs, a sole proprietorship specializing in logo designs, professional flyers, letterhead, business cards, and video editing. Because he believes in promoting branding and personal growth, Abednego has started a brand hub and established the Erone's Foundation, which aims to support the growth of individuals in our communities. Additionally, Abednego Ehurone works as the Personal Assistant (PA) for the founder of Fervent Mentorship Hub. In this role, he communicates with mentees and schedules meetings for both mentees and their mentors. ACHIEVEMENTS 1. Created a vibrant engineering community on campus as the President of the GhIE-UMaT Chapter. 2. Organized three fully sponsored major programs during my tenure as the chapter's president. 3. Successfully lobbied for NSS opportunities for some student members of the chapter. 4. Earned recognition as the best GhIE President during the chapter's awards and dinner night. 5.
