Abbie Goulet is a Abbie has recently moved into a new role as the Manager of Product Design at SkillsWave. She loves to design thoughtful, delightful experiences for everyone. Before being a manager, as a Senior Product Designer at D2L, Abbie was a member of the product design team that designed the interface and user experience for Brightspace, a learning management system used in education worldwide, and D2L Wave, a new up-skilling education platform. Abbie spent two years working on tools and widgets in Brightspace, and then in December 2021 she moved to D2L Wave. Abbie is especially excited about accessible design. She designed the new drag and drop design pattern in Brightspace that included a full keyboard-only experience and screen-reader support. Before D2L, Abbie worked as a sole UX Designer for Canadian Tire Innovations, a large corporate innovation lab where she designed interfaces, in-store experiences, and conducted user research for physical and digital products. Abbie has had a lifelong interest in new technology and is excited to meet her users' needs. In addition to her passion for design and tech, Abbie loves to travel, enjoys piano and ukulele, and volunteers as a Design Lead at FaithTech.
