In my current role as a sales tax manager for Merit Medical I have spent the last six years (since March 2018) using my auditing and sales tax background to build upon and improve a sales tax system for our tax team. This improved and tailored system manages our US and Canada sales tax compliance process which includes monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, as well as exemption maintenance for customers and products. On top of this I manage audits and the business license filings and other various tax filings as they arise throughout the year. I'm currently open to growth opportunities with any mid-size to large publicly traded companies or those working toward trading publicly. As a seasoned sales and use tax auditor and sales tax manager I've come to value "team environments" that are positive, encouraging, team-building and unity focused. With any role I take my concern is about building relationships and improving myself and those I work with so that we perform at optimal levels. That means a mindset of change and an openess to new ideas and possibilities. If we can improve our systems, processes, and strengthen our trust in each other there is nothing we can't accomplish in such a "team-centered" and "room-to-improve" approach.
