The switch from a technical to a non-technical major was not a sudden one, but one in which I put considerable thought. During my undergraduate studies, I joined the local chapter of the international youth-run organization called AIESEC and served in various roles during my term there. My inclination towards social welfare and development pushed me to start a non-governmental organization called The Help with five other colleagues. Both these experiences opened my eyes to the field of management and other allied fields; they not only interested me, but I also had a flair for them. To hone these skills and provide a professional base to them, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in Management. My varied interests and well thought out transition is also clear from the roles I have held in the companies that I have worked for, moving from a Software Development Intern to a relatively less technical role of an Associate Editor, and eventually working as a Business Development Executive for a brief period. When it comes to work, I fully commit myself to the work that interests me. I work well in teams, as part of them, or in managing them, including diverse teams, culturally, or otherwise. I am a hard worker, responsible, and reliable. My work ethic is guided by my principles of duty and value creation. I am actively looking for internships in Management or Marketing primarily in the Denver Metropolitan area; however, I am also open to move to other locations in the United States or Canada if the work allows both the organization and me to add value to each other.
